Welcome to The Baker Tales – or zany adventures with Ben and Jackie as we become first-time parents at the same time we are transitioning into full-time ministry.
This blog is primarily to give our friends and family who are spread across the country the ability to be involved in our lives. And we all know what everyone really wants to see is Isaac as he joins our family and grows! We want you to be a special part of his life … no matter where you are or how often you get to see him in person.

Ben
- In MSP (Ministerial Studies Program) to get licensed as a pastor with the Christian and Missionary Alliance. Self-study program, aiming to be completed this year.
- Youth Leader and Worship Leader at Whipple Heights CMA.
- Working part-time at Macy’s.
- Sings Hillsong music to the baby in hopes he’ll be the next Joel Houston.
Jackie
- Working full-time as Director of Content Marketing at SiteLogic in Canton.
- Youth Leader at Whipple Heights CMA.
- Currently on a 12-week maternity leave.
- Recovering quickly from labor and delivery and looking forward to being back in the saddle very soon.
Luna and Rooney
- Eating, sleeping, fighting, and doing what cats do.
- Not quite sure about Isaac
Ace
- Unhappy with Jackie because she’s not riding. But still enjoys regular brushing and having his stall cleaned.
- Is half-leased to a woman who rides him regularly. They do very well together.
- Enjoys horse cookies, peppermints, and McDonalds french fries and regularly solicits all of the above from people at the barn.
